How do I view my upcoming roster?

Accessing your schedule to see where and when you are working.

Keeping track of your upcoming shifts is simple with the Platform for Care mobile app. By regularly checking your roster, you can stay informed about your work locations, shift times, and specific client requirements, ensuring you are always prepared for your next assignment.

1. Accessing Your Personal Roster

Your personal roster displays all shifts that have been formally assigned to you and "Published" by your administrator.

  1. Open and log in to the Platform for Care mobile app.
  2. From the dashboard or main menu, select Roster.
  3. You will see a chronological list of your upcoming shifts.

2. Navigating the Roster Views

Depending on how you prefer to organise your time, you can switch between different views:

  • List View: This provides a simple vertical scroll of all upcoming shifts, showing the date, time, and service location at a glance.
  • Calendar View: Tap the Calendar icon to see a monthly or weekly overview. Dates with scheduled shifts will typically be highlighted with a dot or colour block.
  • Filtering: Use the filter tool (usually a funnel icon) to view shifts for a specific date range or a particular service type.

3. Viewing Shift Details

To ensure you have all the information needed for a successful shift, tap on any individual entry in your roster to see:

  • Service & Client: The name of the client or the specific group/accommodation service.
  • Location: The address of the shift. Most devices allow you to tap the address to open your GPS navigation app.
  • Shift Notes/Instructions: Specific requirements or handover notes provided by the administrator.
  • Role: The specific capacity in which you are working (e.g., Support Worker, RN).

Important Roster Indicators

  • Published vs. Pending: You will only see Published shifts in your mobile roster. If a manager has "pencilled you in" but hasn't published the roster yet, the shift will not appear.
  • Conflict Warnings: If you see a warning icon, it may indicate a double-booking or a requirement that needs your attention (such as an expired document).

Troubleshooting

  • Missing Shifts: If you know you are meant to be working, but the shift is not appearing, contact your coordinator to ensure the roster has been Published.
  • Old Shifts: By default, the app shows "Upcoming" work. To see shifts you have already worked, adjust your filter settings to include "Past" or "Completed" shifts.
  • Sync Issues: If the roster doesn't seem to update, try pulling down on the screen to refresh or ensure you have a stable internet connection
