To manage your shifts, record progress notes, and clock in on the go, you will need to install the Platform for Caremobile app on your iPhone. This guide walks you through the installation process from the Apple App Store to your first login.


1. Locate the App on the App Store

The official Platform for Care app is available for free to all registered staff members.

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Search icon in the bottom right corner.
  3. Type "Platform for Care" into the search bar and press search.
  4. Look for the app with the Platform for Care logo.
  5. Tap the Get button (or the cloud icon if you have downloaded it previously).
  6. If prompted, confirm the installation using your FaceID, TouchID, or Apple ID password.

2. Initial Setup and Permissions

Once the download is complete, you must configure the app permissions to ensure features like GPS clock-in work correctly.

  1. Locate the app icon on your home screen and tap to open it.
  2. Notification Permission: A pop-up will ask if you want to allow notifications. Tap Allow so you can receive real-time shift alerts and vacancy invitations.

  2. Enter Username: Use the email address associated with your employee profile.
  3. Enter Password: Use the password you created via your activation email.
    • Note: If this is your first time, check your inbox for an "Activation Email" to set your password before trying to log in.
  4. Tap Login.

Troubleshooting Installation Issues

  • "App Not Found": Ensure your App Store region is set to Australia, as the app may be restricted to specific geographic locations.
  • Compatibility: The app requires a modern version of iOS. If you cannot download it, go to Settings > General > Software Update to ensure your iPhone is up to date.
