Why is the amount listed on my approved timesheet different to what has been deposited into my bank account?

Understanding your timesheet report, payslip, and RCTI

Your approved timesheet report, payslip, and RCTI each show a different view of your pay. The timesheet report shows the full value of your work; the payslip breaks down tax, superannuation, and deductions to arrive at your net payment; and the RCTI shows your rate plus any applicable GST.

What does my approved timesheet report show?

The approved timesheet report you have received shows the full value of the timesheet, which will include PAYG (pay as you go) tax and superannuation (for a PAYG set up) or will exclude GST (for a Pty Ltd set up).

What does my payslip show?

Your payslip will show the breakdown of superannuation and PAYG tax, as well as any other deductions you may have (for example, salary sacrifice or union fees). The remaining balance represents your net payment — the amount processed into your bank account.

Any "OTE" (ordinary time earnings) rates displayed on your payslip are shown exclusive of superannuation.

What does my RCTI show?

Your RCTI (recipient-created tax invoice) will show the breakdown of your rate plus any applicable GST.

  2. Navigate to the Pay Advice section.
  3. Locate the relevant payment period and click to open your payslip or RCTI.
